B.Tech. (civil engineering) students at Jawai Dam, Sumerpur on Date 27th July 2019
One day duration Industrial Visit is organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, MITS, Jadan, Pali on 27th July 2019 at Jawai Dam, sumerpur. Jawai dam constructed on Jawai river near the sumerpur in Pali district having 2000 million cubic meter capacity and having 780 square kilometer catchment area located in Arravali basin.
In this visit the Students of B.Tech.VII, V and III Semester has gone through the practical experience of special aspect of water resources engineering, forest area and water treatment plant. In this visit students learnt about the different types of regulation process of water at canal irrigation system of jawai dam and layout and controlling mechanism of spillway gates of overflow section of dam. Mr.R.P.Vishnoi (associte professor and HOD), mr. Rajesh Kumar Meghwal (assistant professor), Mr. Sunil Manohar Changani(assistant professor), Miss Minakshi(Assistant Prof.), Mr. Sharwan and Mr. Mitha Lal went with 60 students at site where engineer incharge mr. Raj Singh Meena explained complete process in small groups.
Nature interpretation center of forest department observed by students where students learnt about bio-diversity of flora and fauna of local forest area in south west aravali basin.
