Department of civil engineering, MITS, Pali had organized a one week Faculty development program as remote center of ICT based program on "Green Buildings and Techniques" from 4th February to 8th February 2019 conducted by Civil Engineering Department of NITTTR Chandigarh.
The program covered the aspects of sustainable development, Concept of Green Buildings, Design & Planning for Green Buildings, energy efficient buildings, ECBC, rating system for green buildings and various parameters of such buildings.
21 participants registered.

First day after inauguration, lecture delivered by Prof. Himmi Gupta on green building concepts. Second session lecture delivered by Architect Surinder Bahga on use of architecture to construct green building.
Second day there was three session, first on indoor air quality and its monitoring, lecture delivered by Dr. R.S. Saini. Second session, lecture delivered by Col.Harry Sidhu(retd Chief engineer, MES) on Building envelope and design, with using of locally available materials. Third session, lecture delivered by Architect Jit Kumar Gupta on sustainable design of buildings.
Third day lecture delivered by Er Anuj Agarwal on energy efficient HVAC design of green buildings. Second session, lecture delivered by Er Money Khanna on ECBC building code with valuable suggestions about energy conservation.
Fourth day lecture delivered by Er Himmi Gupta on green construction practices with green materials. Second session, lecture delivered by AIS glasses on ECBC high performance glasses for use as building envelope.
Fifth day lecture delivered by Dr. Sanjay Sharma on sustainable water management. Second session, lecture delivered by cool roof paints on cool roof technology.
