MITS celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd Oct 2018 at 12:00 Noon in college campus. In this ceremony, all the dignitaries, Director, Principal, Dean and HOD’s, were invited and they graced the program with their august presence. Director Ma’am and Principal Sir expressed their views on Gandhian philosophy and encouraged the students to follow his principles. Debate Competition was organized in which 6 participants participated and they expressed their thoughts regarding to the topic “Is Gandhi still relevant in India,” in favour and against. They highlighted many important points.
According to the judgemnent second year students Shefali (EE Dept) and Vishwas (ME Dept) were winner and runner up respectively.
In the end of the event the students were given the exposure of importance of blood donation where they were motivated by the dignitaries and students confirmed their blood donation by filling the forms. Thus the celebration was pleasant and we learnt many principles of Gandhian outlook.
